Save A Child’s Heart Canada Forever Young Night Out 2019
The first charity I was involved with when I moved back to Canada was Save A Child’s Heart. This inspiring organization provides life-saving cardiac procedures for children from developing countries who cannot afford the appropriate healthcare in their nation. The Wolfson Medical Center, located in Holon, Israel, consists of doctors, nurses, and additional volunteers who dedicate their days and nights to ensuring these children receive the care they require to live long, happy, and healthy lives when they are ready to return home.
I joined the Young Professionals Committee for the Save A Child’s Heart Canada chapter, where the development team hosted quarterly meetings for the committee to plan fundraising events targeting attendance from young professionals within the Greater Toronto Area. In September of 2019, Save A Child’s Heart Canada hosted the first Forever Young Event, a night out hosted at Assembly Chef’s Hall, where attendees could socialize, interact at a fun photo-booth station, and purchase raffle tickets where the proceeds went directly to the Wolfson Medical Center so they could keep doing their incredible work.
Due to the COVID-19 Pandemic, we pivoted to the world of virtual fundraising, where we hosted events such as Master Classes featuring cordon bleu chef Eden Grinshpan as well as the Bite Me More Sisters.
